The process of detoxification involves many steps, one of which is the transport of toxins out of the body. Often, toxins are present in the gastrointestinal tract, due to biliary elimination into the gut, diet, or dysbiotic gastrointestinal flora. Without the use of an appropriate binder to capture and remove these toxins from the body, numerous toxins are absorbed (or reabsorbed) leading to increased toxicity.* Many types of binders exist which all have a different affinity for various types of toxins – metals, endotoxin (LPS),and other products of dysbiosis or microbial die-off. An optimal binder will thus include a balance of various binders.*

Ultra Binder optimizes the natural elimination of debris and toxins including endotoxin (LPS), metals, and unwanted microbial by-products through the intestines.* Ultra Binder is an optimized combination of USP Sodium Bentonite clay, Activated Charcoal, Chitosan, Fibregum™ Bio (Acacia Gum), BiAloe® (Aloe Vera), and a proprietary thiol-functionalized silica.

The proprietary thiol-functionalized silica (also found in IMD Intestinal Cleanse) is superior to other metal-binding agents, as the active binding groups out-compete other compounds for metals in the intestines.*

Activated Charcoal effectively binds LPS, pesticides, herbicides, persistent organic pollutants, and mold toxins.*

Bentonite Clay binds aflatoxin as well as other mold toxins.*

Chitosan binds to the bile and toxins that are secreted with it including heavy metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), phthalates, and BPA.*

Fibregum™ Bio (Acacia Gum) supports the gastrointestinal mucosa health, the growth of friendly flora, and normal gastrointestinal function.* It is a low FODMAP friendly prebiotic fiber.

Aloe vera has a southing effect on the gastric mucosa, and minimizes gastric side effects which can occur when binders are taken alone.*

Binders are materials which adsorb or absorb substances and are widely used in applications such as water and air filtration, and medically in settings of poisonings or medication overdoses. However, many fail to recognize the broader impact they may have on the health of the human body,* which is chronically subject to a wide variety of environmental toxins. In the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, binders capture and block the uptake of GI-derived toxins, and also block the re-uptake of toxins secreted in bile. This not only has effects locally, but also systemically.* Ultra Binder is a comprehensive blend of natural materials that bind a extensive array of toxins including heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, phthalates, bisphenol A (BPA), mold toxins, and bacterial endotoxin (also known as lipopolysaccharide, or LPS). In addition to the negative impacts that these substances may have on metabolism, immune, and endocrine system function, some of them, in particular mold toxins and LPS, block detoxification.* 1,2,3 Thus, in order to support our body in the process of detoxification it is of utmost important to minimize exposures and support the elimination of these substances.*

Ultra Binder brings together an optimized combination of Bentonite Clay, Activated Charcoal, Chitosan, Acacia Gum, Aloe Vera, and the proprietary thiol-functionalized silica also available as IMD Intestinal Cleanse from Quicksilver Scientific. This combination acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract to adhere to toxins, tightly binding and carrying them out of your system so the body is able to detoxify safely and naturally.*

Ultra Binder features a combination of binders that have been demonstrated to bind a wide variety of toxins:

  • Activated Charcoal effectively binds pesticides, herbicides, persistent organic pollutants, and mold toxins. Charcoal binds LPS, or endotoxin, exceptionally well, and also has the ability to lower cyotokines produced by the strong immune system response that LPS stimulates.*4,5
  • Bentonite Clay binds aflatoxin, a primary mold toxin found on peanuts and some grains, as well as other mold toxins.6 It also binds many pesticides and herbicides, and has microbial balancing qualities.*7,8
  • Chitosan binds to the bile and toxins that are secreted with it, and removes them from circulation.* 9 This includes many metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), phthalates, and BPA.10,11,12
  • IMD is a proprietary thiol-functionalized silica that delivers insoluble thiol groups to bind and eliminate mercury and other heavy metals accumulated in the intestines.*
  • Fibregum™ Bio (Acacia Gum or Gum Arabic) and BiAloe® (Aloe Vera)work synergistically with the combination of binders, supporting the gastrointestinal mucosa health, the growth of friendly flora, and normal gastrointestinal function.*

Suggested Usage: Mix 1 teaspoon into 8 ounces of water once daily or as directed by healthcare professional. Take 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meals or medications. If pregnant, consult physician before use.
